His foundation was built working alongside his father in a multi-location automotive business, where he developed a sharp instinct for operations and client relationships. That instinct deepened through high school and college assisting his mother, Nancy Turbyfill — one of the region’s most accomplished agents — in navigating the nuances of real estate sales with grace and expertise.

A graduate of the University of Florida with dual degrees in Geology and Geography, George made his way to Sedona, where his transition into real estate was anything but passive: he and his sister Victoria Wylde and brother-in-law Cameron Wylde spent nine months gut-renovating a home from the ground up — handling everything from permit drafting, framing walls, laying flooring, and assembling kitchen cabinetry, to painting and final interior design touches. Along the way, he gained the kind of hands-on knowledge no classroom can teach.

My goal was to find a piece of land with incredible views so I could build my dream home. I not only achieved that but I also met the most wonderful person in the process. A nicer, more caring and thoughtful person would be difficult to find. You would have thought we were searching the lots for him. If I were interested in a lot, by the next day George knew everything there was to know about it. And he told me both the pros and the cons. I didn't realize how little I knew about Sedona until I met George. I came to know all the different subdivisions and neighborhoods. I felt we were a team working together for my benefit. And, to top it off, we had fun climbing all over those lots. George also helped me find a reputable builder and architect. When I met with them, George was right next to me asking his own questions. Sometimes we loosely throw out words like honesty and integrity. But, if you're lucky enough to find someone truly fitting that description, keep them close. I know that I will be forever thankful to have had George by my side.
